Catch the sunset at The White Horse on Brancaster Staithe

Brancaster Staithe, Norfolk

Stop for a fresh seafood lunch overlooking the tidal saltmarshes of the North Norfolk coast.

The fresh nets of mussels being brought through the door give an idea of what’s on the menu here, but the White Horse is no ordinary pub. It might not look much from the outside, but mosey on over to the back terrace and you’ll see why Brancaster Staithe has been deemed an area of outstanding natural beauty.

While tidal marshes and sea shores teeming with wildlife will keep you (and the dog) in ample walks, the fresh seafood on offer in the restaurant will leave you aching to stay over and do it all again tomorrow. If you do, ask for the Room at the Top, where a viewing telescope will show you anything you might have missed.
