Family entertainment on the east coast
N
ope, this isn't the name of a hedonists' holiday resort in the Caribbean – but the UK's "first themed indoor family resort and amusement park".
There are rides to suit all ages and fear thresholds, so if you're more of a Pony Express kind of person (six mechanical horses moving gently along a fixed track), we suggest you steer clear of the Beast – where you basically sit in line on one of five 'rotors' which are raised up on an arm – before being spun round like the moving part of a helicopter.
Sounds horrific, but is actually rather good fun (can we go again?).
Assuming you’ve managed to keep your lunch down, come the evening, there’s some quality family entertainment – with live gigs, dance acts, comedy and more.
There’s way more to do here than you could ever fit into one day, so why not stop over at one of the beachfront hotels nearby, and make a weekend of it?
