Ghyll is the Cumbrian word for mountain stream, and the aim of this rather exhilarating game is to wade, climb, scramble and (sometimes) swim along them.

Yes, it’s cold, and yes, you’ll probably swallow some water, but who cares? You’ll be running through waterfalls, clambering over slippery rocks and stepping into freshwater pools that come up to your you-know-whats.
