Cream teas all round in the Meon Valley
B
lackberry bleeping at the weekend again? Sounds like you should switch (it) off and get away for a few days. Trust us, as you pull into the drive at Upper Parsonage Farm, you’ll probably wonder why you didn’t do this ages ago.
Especially when Sue brings out one of her legendary cream teas – which you can eat outside if the weather’s decent, while looking out across the rolling fields.
Located deep in the Meon Valley, about 20 minutes from Hampshire, this working farm has sheep and cows and two cosy rooms – the latter coming with complementary peace and quiet.
You might want to bring the bikes, too, and cruise along the lanes to East Meon for a pint of Ringwood at the Izaak Walton. If you’re feeling really active, you could always get your boots on and set off on the South Downs Way – or head to the West Wittering for a day at the beach. The south coast is your oyster.
