A farm with stunning views of the east Yorkshire coastline...

e love views – the guttering lights of a sleeping city from an aeroplane window, the snow-capped mountain peaks after a gruelling ascent, or the first glimpse of the sea from the car window.
And for us, there’s only one way to take in the beauty of Robin Hood’s Bay on the North Yorkshire coast, in the early morning light inside a tent from the warm folds of your sleeping bag.
Located just ten minutes away from the fishing village itself, the campsite at Hooks House Farm has unrivalled views over the sea and moors, delivering that panoramic wow factor. And there’s no better incentive to get out and explore a landscape than seeing it stretched invitingly before you.
The nearby beaches and picturesque coastal villages are as good as they look and the town which inspired the Dracula novel, Whitby is just a short drive away. Slightly further afield you’ll find the North Yorkshire Moors and the Esk Valley which is littered with idyllic villages, including Goathland where Heartbeat was filmed.
After exerting yourself across Yorkshire’s finest scenery save just enough energy to make your way along the footpath from the campsite to the village where you’ll find cosy pubs tucked away down tiny streets – perfect for an atmospheric pint and well-deserved meal.
