The perfect place for budding fishermen

hether you’re bedding down in a tent or in the 300-year-old converted barn, Bullock farm is the perfect place for budding fishermen and their families to spend a few days.
Owner Phil is on hand with rods and good advice, and there are five lakes packed full of fishy residents – from Koi Carp to bream – waiting with baited breath (ba-dum tsh).
Sitting on an island, line dangling in the water, the only sound is an occasional splash as you wait for your catch to take a bite. But if fishing isn’t your thing, there’s still plenty on offer in the Somerset area to pass the time.
Like the town of Cleveden, just over four miles away, with its pier and Strawberry Line cycle routes; or Cheddar Gorge – yes, like the cheese – which has an array of rock faces for intrepid climbers.
Meanwhile, back at the campsite, you’ll find Karen in the cafe with some of her home cooked food, or else there’s ample kitchen facilities for cooking up your catch of the day.
