A mark of quality

T

he VisitEngland Business Development team occasionally work with external partners where there is a requirement for independent assessment projects.

The assessment team is made up of industry experts who can help with a range of advisory projects from mystery shoppers through to interpretation guidance.

Where there is a requirement for a scheme to assess the quality of a visitor experience, which does not fit either the VAQAS or PIQAS schemes, a bespoke question set and project plan can be designed.

Motorway Service Area Quality Scheme

VisitEngland began working with the Highways Agency in 2009 on developing an assessment scheme to recognise best practice and aid the continual improvements to customer care at the key Motorway Service Areas (MSAs) across England.  Consumer research was undertaken to ensure that the question set devised covered the areas deemed most important by the wide range of people using (MSAs).

Racing - Quality Assured Racecourses

Commissioned by the Racecourse Association through the Racing for Change project, VisitEngland are now into the third year of assessing 56 racecourses. The Assessment team look in detail at all aspects of the customer journey, including the pre-visit checks on the website, phone and pre-arrival signage.

Quality Assured Stadiums

Recognising the changing face of football's fan base, the Premier League decided to encourage the 20 top Premier League clubs to take part in a bespoke assessment process. The scheme has been devised to enable the clubs to identify how they can address the rising expectations of the match day experience.
