his must-have app has over a thousand fresh ideas and unmissable places to visit in England. From ancient castles in Northumberland to blustery walks along the Cornish coast, this free holiday tool will open your eyes to all England has to offer.
Personalise your search according to indoor or outdoor activities for those sunny (or rainy) days, ‘must-see’ things to do and those sticking to a budget can look for free ideas. Each result comes complete with a Google Map location to help with those tricky to find places.
The Enjoy England app also includes free access to travel content and readers’ tips from the Guardian newspaper and great ideas from enjoyEngland.com.
If you find somewhere special which isn’t on the app, upload your suggestion to the interactive map and share with other users or why not use the app to connect directly to Facebook and Twitter in order to share your whereabouts with friends, family, fans and followers.
Planning a trip? Simply type in the name of the place and discover a taste of what is on offer in that area and save to your favourites. Certain aspects also work offline, and we have compiled a list of the top 500 attractions to visit– a definite plus for international visitors on holiday without wi-fi access.
You can also capture your favourite holiday moments by using the ‘Send a Postcard’ facility which allows you to select an image, either by taking a picture with your camera phone or selecting a previously stored image, and sending it through the application to be printed as a physical postcard which will be posted to your chosen address.
