A medieval castle, royal palace and elegant country retreat all merge at Leeds Castle, making for a truly adaptable venue.

Lady Baillie, the castle’s last private owner, wanted it to remain a place “where people met and things happened”. In her day that ranged from legendary weekend house parties filled with stars like Charlie Chaplin, Nöel Coward and David Niven, to secret political talks involving Churchill and General Montgomery during World War II.

Nowadays you can hold business events secluded from the castle visitors in the self-contained Maiden’s Tower, originally a Tudor bakehouse. Tapestries, fireplaces, polished oak floorboards and private garden effortlessly create atmosphere.

Meetings and seminars can also be held in the house that many a head gardener lived in over the years.  Or head even further back in time with the Fairfax Hall – a warmly inviting and immaculately restored Kentish barn dating to 1680.

The archery, quad biking, golf and hot-air balloon rides make excellent incentives. At the end of the day, delegates can sleep on-site in luxury knights’ tents or self-catered cottages.
