Conferences by the docks at ACC Liverpool
Liverpool, Merseyside
The largest venue in Liverpool is also one of the most sustainable event spaces in Europe.
ACC Liverpool, home to the BT Convention Centre and Echo Arena, is designed to reduce the average level of CO2 emissions from this type of building by half.
As a BREEAM-accredited venue, ACC Liverpool has five wind turbines to generate electricity; rainwater collection is redirected to flush the toilets; and the roof of the Galleria (based on the roof at the Eden Project) is designed to stay cool in summer and warm in winter.
Part of the Capital of Culture development project, ACC Liverpool is the only interlinking arena and convention centre complex in Europe. It offers lecture theatres, meeting rooms, an 11,000 capacity arena, an exhibition space of more than 7,000 sq metres and a dramatic dining space for 1,800 guests. Best of all, entertainment, events and exhibitions can all be catered for all under one roof.
It is set in an iconic building on Liverpool’s world-famous Mersey waterfront, next door to the Grade I-listed Albert Dock, home to Tate Liverpool, the Beatles Story and buzzing bars and restaurants.
ACCLiverpool looks forward to a new exhibition centre and hotel due to open in 2015.
